French Ambassador Francis Etienne is taking his mother to the Te Papa powhiri welcoming the return of 20 preserved heads to New Zealand this afternoon.
Mr Etienne said he especially invited his 81-year-old mother from France and will also be accompanied by his wife and daughter, who studies at Victoria University.
