Prominent Treaty of Waitangi lawyer Donna Hall says her actions will withstand any scrutiny after a landowner complained to the New Zealand Law Society that she had a conflict of interest.
The landowner alleged Ms Hall was acting for a group buying Government land at the same time as she was advising the trust selling the land.
Ms Hall's lawyer, Bill Jeffries, told NZPA today she represented trusts which had thousands of beneficiaries and any one of them could lodge a complaint.
He said her actions would withstand any scrutiny if it went that far.
