An Australian woman is searching for the Kiwi half-sister who she knows only from baby photos.
Doreen Stojanovski's father Ivan Edwards met a Maori woman in Mudgee, Australia, in 1981 and they moved to New Zealand. The couple had a baby around 1982 or 1983 before the relationship soured.
Doreen, 37, who now lives in Geelong, Victoria, received letters from her father when she was around 8 or 9 years-old with baby photos of her half sister, named Tanya Edwards.
She says Tanya was adopted to an Auckland family and was never heard from again.
"Her new parents changed her name to Crystal ... I'm curious to know where Crystal is and what she's been doing. She might be interested in her medical history."
