The Horowhenua Vintage Car Club will be holding its annual swap meet at the Levin show grounds, Tiro Tiro road, Levin on March 16, with the gates opening at 7am.
The swap meet was started by Alton Harrison as a team-building exercise and a way to get to know club mates. Their swap meet has grown year by year and now is the biggest in the southern North Island, with sellers and buyers coming from north of Auckland, Bay of Plenty, and from Taranaki South to Wellington.
On sale will be old car parts from the early 1900s up to about 1970s, old tools and old collectables from motoring years gone by.
The spares department opens at 10.00am. It has just had a new extension added to accommodate many more parts being donated by members as well as the general public.
Automotive books, magazines and catalogues are also for sale.
