With Anzac Day approaching, Levin Home for War Veterans has erected a Field of Remembrance for its annual Anzac Day service.
For a third year, in a planned series of five years, World War I and World War II veterans who died at the Levin home will be honoured for their service.
The project was initiated to honour the veterans who fought and made it home.
This year's 590 crosses represents all the World War I veterans, and next year the World War II crosses will be installed.
Administrator at the home, Vicky Prouting, who organised the project, said it was important to her to honour all those who fought in the wars and later died in their care.
