Horowhenua cricket fans are in for a treat this weekend as domestic cricket returns, after an absence of more than a decade, to Donnelly Park, Levin.
With three fixtures planned fans will be able to see some of New Zealand's best women's cricketers.
Starting today at 3.30pm the Central Districts Hinds take on the Wellington Blaze. Horowhenua's own Mikaela Grieg will be helping her team spin the Hinds to victory.
Some of New Zealand's White Ferns will also be in action with Hannah Rowe for the Hinds and Rachel Priest, Amelia Kerr and Sophie Devine all set to be on show with the Blaze.
"We are extremely excited to be able to host such a high-calibre cricketing event in the Horowhenua," Horowhenua Kapiti Chief Executive David O'Brien says.
