Car fire on State Highway 1 near Ōtaki

State Highway 1 near Ōtaki has fully reopened after a car caught fire on the road this morning.

The left southbound lane of the Peka Peka to Ōtaki Expressway was closed, south of the Ōtaki River bridge.

Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency has since advised the vehicle has been cleared and delays have eased.
