It was another sale dominated by yearling cattle, however there was a better selection of heavier cattle for those looking for short-term finishing. 2 year Hereford — Friesian steers 525 kg made $1480 and Friesian steers 447 kg — 637 kg made $2.41 — $2.74. 2 year Hereford — Friesian heifers traded at $2.62 — $2.82, Galloway cross heifers 320 kg made $705 and Friesian cross heifers 363 kg made $725.
Hereford — Friesian bulls 345 kg — 495 kg realised $2.32 — $2.79 and Friesian cross bulls 345 kg made $800.
The yearling pens had a better selection of Friesian beef cattle with Hereford — Friesian steers 185 kg — 240 kg making $2.81 — $3.69, Angus — Friesian steers 190 kg making $500 and Friesian steers 285 kg making $535.
Yearling Friesian bulls 197 kg made $645, Hereford — Friesian bulls 234 kg made $715, Angus cross bulls 235 kg — 275 kg made $2.76 — $2.89 and Friesian cross bulls 182 kg — 254 kg made $2.71 — $3.29.
Hereford — Friesian cross heifers 178 kg — 252 kg made $2.53 — $2.78, Friesian heifers 228 kg — 310 kg made $1.94 — $2.35 and Friesian cross heifers 202 kg made $400.
In the weaner pens, autumn-born Hereford — Friesian bulls 185 kg made $600 and well-marked Friesian bulls 94 kg — 108 kg made $420 — $595.
The boner pens had a small selection of Friesian cows 459 kg — 670 kg which traded for $1.73 — $1.84.
In the calf pens, Friesian bull calves made $110 — $145, Hereford Friesian bull calves made $85 — $220, Simmental cross bull calves made $265, Speckle Park cross bull calves made $100 — $310 and Angus cross bull calves made $85 — $200. Hereford Friesian heifer calves made $60 — $90 and Angus cross heifer calves made $60 — $130.
