Vita double majored in English and Media at both Auckland and Victoria University before graduating in 2018 and working for Newshub as a Wellington digital producer. During her time at Newshub Vita covered the Operation Burnham inquiry, the Christchurch terror attack, the Whaakari/White Island eruption and the Covid-19 pandemic among scores of other stories. She began working for the NZ Herald in 2021 and has covered the posthumous Peter Ellis appeal as well as countless other cases throughout every court in Wellington.
