Business events All things good and green will be on display for the third annual Sustainable City Showcase on October 17-19 at The Cloud on Queens Wharf, Auckland.
The Sustainable City Showcase, organised by the Sustainable Business Network (SBN) in conjunction with Meridian Energy, Waterfront Auckland and Element Magazine, has proved popular with Aucklanders interested in a sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle, drawing large crowds each year to the free event.
The event will host 120 companies showcasing sustainable workplace and fashion solutions, organic food and drink, hybrid and electric vehicles, business and lifestyle ideas and ways to make your home more sustainable. There will also be live entertainment, family fun and a number of workshops and inspirational talks on the agenda.
Rachel Brown, CEO of the Sustainable Business Network, says that visitors who are already conscious consumers will be encouraged to take their sustainability one step further, while concerned Kiwis who want to care for the environment, but aren't quite sure how, will be shown small, manageable steps to becoming more sustainable.
"As consumers we have tremendous power: every dollar we spend is an opportunity to support sustainable business," she says. "The Sustainable City Showcase is the ideal place to feel good about where your money is going and enjoy learning about sustainability at the same time."
