Better boost your broadband limits again: another television streaming service is launching in New Zealand today.
News website Yahoo launches Yahoo TV, adding what it promises will be a "world-class" line-up of shows to an already saturated on-demand market.
The line-up includes several original shows, including well-received comedyOther Space from Bridesmaids director Paul Feig, and basketball comedy Sin City Saints, starring Tom Arnold.
While Yahoo TV is unlikely to worry major players like Netflix and Lightbox, its head of TV and global content, Cora Spear, says they're not competing with them because Yahoo TV is a free service.
"There's no subscription, no one-off payments and, because Yahoo TV was developed purely for our audience's entertainment, we're confident it will be a success," says Spear.
The service will also make episodes of Australian soap Home & Away, and popular reality shows like My Kitchen Rules Australia and The Great Food Truck Race, available for streaming.

Spear hopes to add Simon Cowell talent show Ultimate DJ, and Friends-style sitcom Pursuit, to Yahoo TV's offerings over the coming months.
Though its content is all from overseas, Spear says local shows are "absolutely on the agenda for us".
Yahoo TV is available through web browsers on all devices, but Spear says apps are in the works.
