Winner of The X Factor Australia Altiyan Childs will make his New Zealand debut to a crowd of 200,000 at next week's Christmas in the Park event in the Auckland Domain.
Organisers are still unsure what he will sing but the covers on his new album, released the next day, include the party starters Eye of the Tiger, Summer of 69 and Sex On Fire.
Joining him is former New Zealand Idol runner-up Michael Murphy, singing The Exponents' Why Does Love Do This To Me and Bon Jovi's Livin' on a Prayer.
C4 presenter Drew Neemia joins Christmas in the Park regulars Frankie Stevens, Jackie Clark and Ainslee Allen.
The concert, now in its 17th year has raised more than $2 million for charity and this year will be fundraising for Surf Life Saving. The show starts at 7.30pm on December 11 and is expected to finish around 10.20pm. It will screen on TV3 the next day at 7pm.
The New Zealand-born Australian Idol winner of 2009, Stan Walker, has announced a summer tour in February, starting in Wellington on the 17th and ending in Christchurch just before university resumes on February 28. He plays at the Telstra Centre in Manukau City on February 25.
Walker's album From the Inside Out, released in August, hit number one on the New Zealand charts and he was named people's choice at the Vodafone New Zealand Music Awards.
