US talkshow host Oprah Winfrey has been in South Africa hosting a New Year's Eve party at the plush Sun City casino resort.
Winfrey, who has set up a leadership school for girls in South Africa, was spotted at the resort - as well as her guests Sidney Poitier, comedian Chris Rock and singers Mariah Carey and Mary J. Blige. Winfrey reportedly paid for everything except the flights.
British actor Jude Law, his former wife Sadie Frost and their children were also holidaying in South Africa. They visited KwaZulu-Natal in the east of the country and Franschoek in the Cape winelands.
