Swift has shared images of her Kiwi holiday with her 56.9 million Instagram fans, and her visit attracted extensive media and social media coverage.
A picture of her at a South Island lake was "favourited" on Instagram at least 1 million times.
Conservationists accused Swift of endangering baby dotterel birds while filming near Auckland but Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (Ateed) said Swift's film crew was not near the dotterel site.
Local film company Cherokee Films disputed any dotterels were harmed but offered to make a donation to the breeding programme.
Swift is understood to have left New Zealand for Queensland's Whitsunday Islands.
The Daily Telegraph in Sydney said Swift was expected to fly her friends over, including singer Selena Gomez and Victoria's Secret model Karlie Kloss, for a birthday party on Hamilton Island.
Swift turns 26 on December 13.
