Survivor has outwitted, outplayed and outlasted other reality shows for 34 seasons.
But ahead of tonight's finale, some are wondering if New Zealand's version of the American reality juggernaut will make it past just one season.
Survivor NZ kicked off with much fanfare on May 7, with Matt Chisholm stepping into the shoes of long-term Survivor US host Jeff Probst.
Chisholm received positive reviews and the show has raised several talking points - including Hannah, who claims she was body shamed by being eliminated early, and both Sala and Shannon struggling with online trolls.
But that talkability doesn't appear to have drawn in new viewers.
