Will Smith's ex-wife Sheree Fletcher has come to his defense saying "[he] was straight in 1992, and he's straight in 2016".
She published a video on Facebook to "check" rumours started by transgender actress Alexis Arquette, who alleged their marriage split after Fletcher walked in on Smith with another man.
She wanted to clarify that information was categorically untrue.
The pair parted ways in 1995 after three years of marriage, but Fletcher left because they were young and she was "unhappy", not because of any infidelity.
"I don't know you and you don't know me, so for you to claim to have first hand information about why my marriage ended is completely out of line - not only is it out of line, it's not true..." she said.
"I didn't find Will in bed with a man, I didn't find him in bed with a woman, it just didn't happen."
Arquette posted a message aimed at Will and current wife Jada Pinkett-Smith on Facebook, as part of a wider rant regarding their decision to boycott the Oscars.
In the post, which has since been removed, she claimed that Jada was a lesbian and Will's first marriage broke up because he was caught with a "sugar daddy".

"Gays have enemies," it read. "They lurk in gilded closets. Outing is healthy".
Fletcher said she was not speaking out to Will and Jada's battles, but to set the record straight.
She went on to say she was "grateful" for the relationship she still has with her ex-husband.
"In the future please just be more careful with the things that you say, check your facts, try to actually have some facts before you start putting untruths out there that can damage people, and damage families," she said.
