It's definitely going to be one of those weeks as far as entertainment news is concerned. There's a distinct lack of juicy gossip to milk from the celebrity cow, and there's only one person we can wag the fickle finger of blame at: Britney.
But before I get to everyone's favourite punch bag, Brit Brit, I do have some other gossip to share...
Lopez keeps mum
Is she or isn't she pregnant? That's the $64,000 question on everyone's lips.
Jennifer Lopez continues to keep mum about her alleged pregnancy. But if these pictures are anything to go by, I'd say the singer is most definitely with child. I mean, why else would she fashion what looks like a tent around her demonstrably swollen tummy?
And to fuel the pregnancy rumours even further, hubby Marc Anthony dedicated a song to Lopez during their concert in Los Angeles on Friday.
"It's a real personal song," claimed Anthony before warbling through Journey's Faithfully at a packed-out Staples Centre arena. "This song has a whole new significance," he added.
The crowd went ballistic when he sang the lyric "They say that the road ain't no place to start a family". Anthony also pointed out that the song had "quite a special significance".
Surely she has to make an announcement soon? Do you think she's pregnant?
Spice Girls squabble (again)
It's not the first time that I've reported that all is not gin and tonic in the Spice Girls camp.
So what's rocked the boat this time?
The pop divas gathered to record their highly anticipated comeback video this weekend, and word has it that tears and tantrums were definitely on the menu.
The girls assembled at the legendary Pinewood Studios in England to record the promotional video for their new single Headlines (Friendship Never Ends). Click here to listen to a leaked clip of the new song.
Victoria Beckham displayed her usual diva-like behaviour and had an assistant follow her around all day carrying fruit and champagne.
Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell insisted on an endless supply of a particular brand of bottled water, and delayed the shoot for hours to meditate.
Emma Bunton became very emotional and burst into tears because the shoot kept going until 3am.
And Mel B raised everyone's heckles by moaning incessantly about her jet-lag after flying in from LA.
As for Mel C, she allegedly kept her cakehole shut and merely wished she was somewhere else instead.
A source reveals to British tabloid The Sun: "Things were very delayed. The director was tearing his hair out and threatened to walk.
"The girls were so tired and Emma was crying as the shoot just went on and on.
"Geri kept slowing things down by meditating and doing strange spiritual stuff.
"It's just like before, only even bigger. That's their egos I'm talking about, not their boobs."
Four-lines for Beckham
Victoria Beckham is said to be furious because she apparently only sings four lines on the Spice Girls' new single.
Insiders say that Posh's vocals only last 15 seconds, and she has to share a line with Mel C.
A spokesperson for the Spice Girls said, "The verses have all been shared out equally among the five members and they all sing together on the chorus."
Yeah, right.
Let's face it, Posh is only there to pout, pose and provide a bit of eye candy.
Lame heading of the week: Britney is a 'bad mother'
So Britney's a bad mother according to comedian Roseanne Barr. Talk about a truism.
The sarcastic comic has posted a diatribe on her official website.
Barr says: "Britney: The judge is trying to teach you a lesson, shut your mouth and learn it! You are a bad mother, and so is your mother! Get your shit together and take care of your kids!! Your mom needs to lock your spoiled ass in the basement or wherever it is that you cannot get anymore drugs. Stop drinking immediately too! If you are too weak to do that, then you are no better than a crack whore on the street, and your mom should stop pimping your ass and do what mom's do&lock up your kid, and sit there with her for as long as it takes to get her right!!! Get guards around her to sober her up! SIT WITH YOUR KID, MOM! AFTER YOU AND HER DAD PIMPED HER OUT LIKE JON BENET, SIT THERE WITH HER AND STRAIGHTEN HER OUT&THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!! (not even hers, but yours, put pimpng out your other daughter on hold til you make your grown one better)."
For once, I agree with the inflated comic.
Britney album news
Promotion for Britney's new album, Blackout, has kicked off. Watch this clip of a TV ad broadcast in the US.
The announcer says this is the album we've all be waiting for. He's not wrong.
Fox news reports that Britney's new album is on the skids and is currently position at no. 76 on Amazon's charts.
I've heard mixed things, but apparently the material's passable. Judge for yourselves here .

Everyone's talking about...
Former Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona was interviewed for a morning TV programme in the UK last week, and her erratic behaviour has promoted fears for her mental health.
The singer talked about being bi-polar and that she turned to drug use 3 years ago.
Katona slurred her words during the live interview, and generally behaved in a bonkers manner.
TV bosses were so shocked with her oddball behaviour they heavily edited the interview before posting it on their website.
