Don't be alarmed, but it was a sign of the Apocalypse.
The aerial smoke layed by a vintage Harvard trainer was part of a marketing campaign for superhero movie X-Men: Apocalypse which starts at New Zealand cinemas on May 19 - a week ahead of the US release on May 27.
The new film completes a prequel trilogy which began with X-Men: First Class.
It's effectively the second X-Men movie of 2016 after spin-off Deadpool became a box office hit early in the year.
