Why Blake Lively's daughter has a boy's name

Blake Lively has revealed why she gave her daughter a boys name - it's all in the family.

The actress gave birth to her baby girl with husband Ryan Reynolds in December and the pair kept her name a secret for a long time.

It finally emerged that they had called their daughter James.

"It's a family name, and I liked having a boy's name so I thought... I would pass it on," Lively explained.

She also said she doesn't want her daughter to feel limited in any way.

"If I could give her any advice it would just be don't let anybody tell you no. If something hasn't been done before, it doesn't mean it can't be done. You can be the first one and I think that it's really empowering to see that," she said.
