Eddie Redmayne won't get "carried away" with Oscar glory.
The 34-year-old actor won the coveted Best Actor gong last year for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything and being nominated this time around for his performance as transgender pioneer Lili Elbe could mean he walks home with a consecutive trophy, when the winners are announced.
Speaking about his nominations, the star mused: "I am not getting carried away. I still pinch myself about last year, let alone what is happening again."
Bryan Cranston, Matt Damon and Michael Fassbender will also battle it out in the category for Trumbo, The Martian and Steve Jobs respectively.
But throughout the build up to the star-studded ceremony Eddie has insisted Leonardo DiCprio will scoop the prize, and his first Academy Award ever, for his portrayal of frontiersman Hugh Glass in The Revenant.
