KEY POINTS:
Prime has finally announced the line-up of judges for its upcoming reality series New Zealand's Got Talent - but who will be New Zealand's answer to the Hoff?
NZ Idol judge Paul Ellis and former Radio With Pictures presenter Richard Driver are set to join Miriama Smith on the judging panel, while radio personalities Jason Reeve and Andrew Mulligan will host the series.
Given Ellis already earned the title of "NZ's Simon Cowell" during his Idol days, we're turning our attention to Driver, who - much like the Hoff - has a history of fleeting music success behind him (though not in Germany ... )
The one-time frontman for 80s band Pop Mechanix has since moved into film and television production and is the founding director of Sky Television's Documentary Channel in New Zealand.
With Driver as the Hoff, Ellis is poised to become the new Piers Morgan, leaving Smith to switch schizophrenically between the roles of Brandy Norwood and Sharon Osbourne.
Preliminary auditions have already been held around the country and the series is set to screen later this year, though Prime has still to confirm exact dates.
