KEY POINTS:
Here's your chance to see top Kiwi artists perform in unique surroundings, and do your bit for conservation, as the annual Zoo Music series returns to Auckland Zoo this summer.
SJD, Don McGlashan, Hollie Smith, Nathan Haines, The Mint Chicks and Pluto make up the summer season line-up with a mix of pop, rock, jazz and kiwi classics set in the lush surrounds of Auckland City's most unique park.
Launching the series on February 7 is soulful singer-songwriter SJD, whose recently released fifth album received critical acclaim. Legendary and award-winning musician Don McGlashan takes to the stage on Valentine's Day (14 February) following his successful tour of the United States and recent tour with Crowded House in Europe.
The four-concert series will raise money for a variety of endangered animals, including cheetahs, turtles and orangutans.
Last year's concerts raised over $27,000 for conservation projects.
Tickets to the shows give concert-goers free access to the zoo throughout the day, ahead of the evening events.
