Inner-city residents living near Britomart won't be having an afternoon nap this Sunday when rowdy Enduro motorbikes take over in the inaugural City Scramble event. Construction of a special track - complete with water jumps, logs, and a banked wall ride - starts on Friday night ready for racing to kick off at 10am Sunday. And best of all, this high-powered petrol-head action is free.

THEATRE
The latest production from Auckland's Silo Theatre group stars Stephen Lovatt and Josephine Davison in a New York-set comedy. The Scene details what happens when an aspiring trophy wife meets a recently unemployed, older, married man. Theresa Rebeck has "crafted a naughty, sharp-elbowed comedy about the empty narcissism of contemporary pop culture and the savage economies of sex".
The Scene by the Silo - Herald Theatre, Aotea Centre, May 28-Jun 27, www.the-edge.co.nz
ROCK/POP
Autozamm are on the radar of rock fans right now with the release of their sophomore album, Drama Queen, which they describe as "10 riff-dunking songs of love, death and threesomes". The first single, Long Days, showcases a poppier side of the rockers, and you may have seen the colourful music video featuring eight of the Next Top Model finalists.
Autozamm - Sale St, May 28
TRIBUTE
If the names John, Paul, George and Ringo still mean something to you, the SkyCity Theatre could be the spot this weekend for a bit of nostalgia. Beatles tribute band The Beatlemaniacs play there Friday and Saturday, ripping through all the hits of the famous band. Apparently their authenticity is worth a double take - they claim they are authentic "right down to the instruments and the stitching on their winklepicker shoes".
The Beatlemaniacs - SkyCity Theatre, May 29/30
