The music of Hello Sailor - and the band itself - will feature in the Outrageous Fortune prequel Westside.
But this time it's not the band's Gutter Black, which was behind the opening credits of the earlier series.
The forthcoming prequel Westside opens to Watch Your Back , a Graham Brazier/Harry Lyon-penned song the band's 1977 debut LP.
The soundtrack to the six episodes promises plenty of other period Kiwi classics - everything from Steve Allen's 1974 Christchurch Commonwealth Games song Join Together to pop hits by Mark Williams and Jon Stevens to rock tracks including many other Sailor songs.
And - spoiler alert - one of Westside's episodes includes scenes with actors playing a young Hello Sailor as the hot band of the moment caught up in the seedy Auckland underworld - and being inspired to write some of the best-known songs by the company they keep.
