Wendy Petrie left her One News co-host Simon Dallow speechless when she beat him in a live pop rugby quiz.
Petrie, who hosts One News with Dallow every weeknight, was tested on her rugby knowledge with a pop quiz hosted by Seven Sharp presenters Mike Hosking and Toni Street.
Hosking's first question - "What year did 10-test All Black Mark Carter debut?" - saw both Petrie and Dallow correctly answer with 1991.
But the next question, "Which All Black lock made his debut against Samoa in a one-off test at North Harbour Stadium in 1999?," left Dallow stumped.
He incorrectly answered Blair Larson, leaving Petrie to give the correct answer: "Norm Maxwell."
