A women's magazine has hit back in its dispute with Shane Cortese and his wife Nerida.
The couple sold exclusive rights from their January wedding to New Idea, but freelance photos appeared in a rival magazine. Cortese said last week that New Idea had withheld the photos and an unspecified sum of money the couple had pledged to Starship.
But New Idea editor Hayley McLarin she personally delivered a series of disks to Cortese's agent Karen Kay in February. McLarin said she received an email acknowledging this two days later.
"New Idea asked the couple to highlight which photographs they would like Photoshopped for an album. We have not had any notification so could not fulfil our offer."
She said the magazine contacted Kay on March 20 outlining an offer. "It was acknowledged that the couple no longer wanted to receive the balance but wanted it sent to charity. We have not had any response."
Kay said the the stoush was "now going down a legal track".
