Petrol heads and car enthusiasts have gotten their first glimpse at the all-new Top Gear.

The first trailer for the new season, now hosted by Chris Evans and former Friends star Matt LeBlanc, shows the pair racing around in a range of glossy, slick and extremely fast automobiles.

LeBlanc can be heard yelling, "Suspense! Suspense!" as he races what is thought to be an Ariel Nomad across the desert. German race car driver and the only female presenter on the show Sabine Schmitz is forced to pull her high-powered vehicle over for after Evans becomes queasy.

"Go out, go out!" Schmitz says in a panic as Evans starts to vomit onto the race track. She then asks "why is it red?", a look of disgust on her face. Unfazed, Evans simply replies: "Strawberries."

This is the first season after the departure of former hosts Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond. Joining Evans and LeBlanc throughout the new season will be a range of other presenters including Schmitz, Formula 1 commentator Eddie Jordan and Rory Reid.

The show returns to screens this May.
