Watch: John Oliver's best rants about John Key following resignation as PM

Over the years, John Oliver has taken great pleasure in making fun of John Key.

So in the wake of our Prime Minister's shock resignation, we're taking a look at the talk show host's best bits about Key and New Zealand (see video above).

Highlights include the time Key answered questions about trimming his pubic hair on live radio and the time he went on a ponytail pulling spree.

But it's also not limited to just John Key - Oliver also has a go at the flag debate, and the now world-famous incident involving Stephen Joyce and a sex toy.

Unfortunately, John Oliver's Last Week Tonight has finished airing for 2016 and won't return until the New Year so we may have to wait some time to hear the host's thoughts on Key's resignation.
