KEY POINTS:
Pete Doherty has been caught injecting heroin on film, just hours after claiming he was drugs free.
The Babyshambles rocker is shown in the footage - shot on a mobile phone at his Wiltshire home on Friday - 'cooking up' the class A drug in a spoon before filling up a needle and sticking it into his right arm.
Pete, 28, is seen still wearing the green wristband from the MTV Europe Music Awards in Germany the night before, at which he boasted he was still clean after spending six weeks in rehab and even joked he "missed" hard drugs.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "It's not the first time he's injected since he was supposed to have got clean. He may have got clean through rehab, but as soon as the temptation is put in front of him, he cannot help himself. It's so sad to see. He's been given so many chances and so many fresh starts and he just throws them all away."
Just weeks ago, Pete vowed to stay clean after a magistrate decided to release him from the six months left on his two-year drug treatment order after he tested negative for crack cocaine and heroin.
Speaking outside London's Thames Magistrates' Court on October 24, he said: "I have just had enough already. My life has changed. I'm still a bit wobbly but I'm taking one day at a time."
Pete was arrested last December while carrying heroin, crack cocaine, cannabis resin and cannabis. He was arrested again in January while in possession of heroin, crack cocaine and cannabis.
Less than two weeks ago he was also given a four-month suspended sentence and a 12-month drug rehabilitation order in relation to his May arrest for driving illegally while in possession of drugs in West London.
