Lisa Crawley is getting studio quotes for her next album ("sooo expensive"), but it's not the funds that's putting that off till April. She's too busy making music for other people.
"I'm transcribing a new musical for Tim Finn," says Crawley.
"So my job is to listen to every little note that Tim has sung and composed in his demos and write out the sheet music. It's a lengthy process."
It's possibly the most intriguing item on a to-do list that also features playing in Finn's band for an upcoming Australian tour, doing the same for Greg Johnson, giving piano lessons and playing a weekly residency at an Auckland nightspot.
The latter was inspiration for an early idea for this video before it was put on the back-burner. She still may use it in future so best not to give it away. But if you do find yourself watching her perform at that Auckland nightspot just be careful what you say.
