Hundreds of barbershop singers gathered in Christchurch yesterday for the national finals of the Young Singers in Harmony competition.
Both quartets and choruses were represented, with two sets of judges adjudicating each performance.
Rangitoto College on Auckland's North Shore took out both the boys' chorus and the boys' quartet titles.
The winners of the girls' quartet section were Zesty from Cashmere High School in Christchurch and Tawa College won the girls' chorus section.
