The director of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia has signed on to direct the upcoming Minecraft movie.
Rob McElhenney is now attached to the project, and will join LEGO Movie producer Roy Lee and Jill Messick on the crew.
Minecraft is a hugely popular building game where users are able build objects using computerised textured blocks.
No details have been released on how Warner Brothers expects to translate the game on flim.
More than 20 million copies of the PC game have been sold according to the game's website, while sales of the mobile version have topped more than 30 million copies.
