Prestigious magazine Vanity Fair has been left red-faced after experiencing not one, but two monumental Photoshop fails and followed by news James Franco was scrubbed from the spread at the last minute.
The iconic Hollywood issue, celebrating a number of industry heavyweights, has a slew of A-listers on its cover.
Hours after its debut, multiple sources have come forward to reveal Franco — who was photographed for the cover and interviewed for the issue — was digitally removed from the image at the final moment after he became embroiled in sexual misconduct allegations.
A Vanity Fair spokesman confirmed the rumours to The Hollywood Reporter. "We made a decision not to include Franco on the Hollywood cover once we learned of the misconduct allegations against him," the spokesman told the publication.
Allegations against the actor came just days after he won a Golden Globe earlier this month. Five women came forward in a Los Angeles Times story, alleging inappropriate behaviour by the star.
