Psychedelic trip-hop act Unkle return to New Zealand to play the Powerstation on May 5.
Formed in 1994 by maverick musician and owner of Mo' Wax record label, James Lavelle, Unkle has included members such as DJ Shadow and Richard File, as well as guest vocalists Thom Yorke (Radiohead), Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), Ian Astbury (The Cult), and Jarvis Cocker (Pulp).
At present the current line-up is led by Lavelle along with Pablo Clements, former South frontman Joel Cadbury, and vocalist Gavin Clark, all of whom featured on the last Unkle album, Where Did The Night Fall. They were last here performing at the Big Day Out in 2008.

Meanwhile, melodic hardcore heroes Rise Against from Chicago also return in July in support of their sixth album Endgame which is released later this month.
Joining them at the Logan Campbell Centre on July 14 are legendary hardcore punk veterans band Sick Of It All.
