It's the most talked about TV show on social media right now but just how many people tuned in to watch The Bachelor NZ last night?
Nielsen figures show 284,000 Kiwis watched the debut episode, up on last year's premiere, which saw 278,000 viewers tune in.

It also saw an increase in its target demographic with 165,000 viewers aged 25-54 tuning in, ahead of last year's 160,000.
That made it the most-watched programme in the 25-54 demographic in its timeslot, however, it couldn't beat TV One's Our First Home for total number of viewers, with the renovation series pulling 53,000 more viewers than The Bachelor.
