Dancing With the Stars was one of the top rating shows on television last night.

One News, Sunday and Dancing With the Stars dominated Kiwis TV screens last night, topping Nielsen's overnight ratings.

One News, Dancing With the Stars and Westside proved the top performers for viewers aged 25-54.

TV3's dancing contest is proving a hit with viewers, claiming its highest ratings to date with 418,000 viewers tuning in.

Outrageous Fortune prequel Westside also saw a significant boost to ratings, with 247,000 viewers watching, up from 180,000 last week.

Saturday night saw TV One dominate the ratings with One News, Hyundai Country Calendar and Inside the Animal Mind claiming the top three spots.

While on Friday, One News, Seven Sharp and The Graham Norton Show topped Friday night's TV ratings, with One News, The Graham Norton Show and 7 Days dominating the 25-54 demographic.

TV3's comedy line up made a strong showing in the target demographic, beating Shortland Street, which is a traditional top performer in the 25-54 age bracket.

Meanwhile, Come Dine With Me NZ hit a new low, with just 154,000 viewers tuning in.
