It's a well-worn premise, but that doesn't mean it won't make for a gripping watch. This Australian Broadchurch-esque murder mystery is set in the small isolated town of Mingara, a quiet place where everyone knows everyone. Except they don't.
Something sinister happens on an otherwise normal night, a teenage girl goes missing, and while the local coppers are searching for her, they stumble across something even worse: a field full of the remains of young girls. So the big guns are called in: Detective Eve Winter (played by ex-Mrs Rafter, Rebecca Gibney), a decorated officer who's had enough of traumatic cases and has opted for a desk job, but is pulled into the case by her former partner, and former flame (Australian TV veteran Peter O'Brien).

They're drawn into a tense community, full of scared and gossiping townsfolk eager to place the blame on any difficult young man they can find, and the team all have their own demons to deal with.
This 90-minute feature proved so popular in Australia they've extended it into a series called Winter, which will screen on TV One later this year.
