This new local documentary series dives into our extensive watery surrounds, aiming to tell some of the many astounding stories of New Zealand's native marine animals.
Spanning six marine environments, each episode is structured around an ocean neighbourhood and features the colourful and varied inhabitants. We see great white sharks take on little blue penguins on Stewart Island; spend a day with the athletic dusky dolphins of Kaikoura; and swim with pods of orcas as they travel the golden harbours of Northland.
Narrated by Craig Parker, each episode features impressively intimate footage, and captures intricate interactions even in the seemingly unexciting environments of mangroves.
