The third series of the Showtime drama based loosely on the lives of ground-breaking sex researchers William Masters and Virginia Johnson takes a leap forward in its new season.
The show jumps from the late 1950s to the mid 1960s with the pair - played by Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan - about to publish their book Human Sexual Response based on their near-decade of research covered in the earlier seasons.
The first episode sees the pair facing the press and being asked if the volume is opportunist in its timing, given America's fast-changing attitudes.
"We are the sexual revolution," counters Johnson.
While they became public figures with the book's release, the show offers its own speculation on their relationship - and how their affair has transformed into a three-way relationship with Masters' wife, Libby.
