Television presenters Simon Dallow and Alison Mau have separated, it has been announced.
The media couple, who had been together for 19 years, 13 of those married, announced their split last night.
Anthony Flannery, TVNZ's Head of News and Current Affairs issued a statement saying that despite their high-profile roles, the company sees their separation as a private and personal matter, and said Dallow and Mau would be making no further comment.
The couple's separation is described by the broadcaster as "amicable".
Dallow, who co-hosts the 6pm edition of ONE News, and Mau, also a TVNZ presenter on the broadcaster's flagship Breakfast programme, have two children together, aged 8 and 11.
One of New Zealand's most popular husband-and-wife teams, Dallow and Mau co-presented ONE News' weekend bulletins from 1999 up until the end of 2003.
