Taranaki's Womad festival has announced its first two acts just days before tickets go on sale to the three-day event.
They are South African acappella group Ladysmith Black Mambazo and American singer-songwriter John Grant.

They're the first acts confirmed for the 2016 event, the festival's 12th year being held from March 18 to 20.
Womad is known for its line-up spanning a range of genres and countries, performing across four stages nestled around New Plymouth's Bowl of Brooklands and Brooklands Park.
Tickets go on sale from Saturday through Womad's website.
