The big day out for bogans is back, with a new look and its third new location in as many years.
Westfest is moving to Kumeu in 2016, and has announced a first-up line that will please fans of hardcore punk and metal.
Moving to Kumeu Showgrounds on January 30,Westfest's line-up is headlined by punk veterans NOFX and Refused, and is bolstered by The Bleeders, with Antagonist AD, Saving Grace, Dawn Of Azazel, Stonehurst, and For All Eternity.
It comes at a busy time of year for music fans, with Disturbed playing a show two days earlier at Vector Arena on January 28, and Laneway is two days later on February 1.
It's also been a chaotic festival season, with Soulfest and Echo Festival both cancelled.
Westfest's last two events have all been held at different venues, with 2014's event over two days at Vector Arena headlined by Rob Zombie and Korn, while this year's festival was at Mt Smart Stadium and headlined by Soundgarden and Fall Out Boy.
The event is all ages with tickets costing $99. They can be purchased through the festival's website, westfest.co.nz.
