Promoters say Tove Lo will open for Katy Perry at her upcoming New Zealand shows, despite the Swedish pop star saying she is cancelling "all shows for the next two months".
Tove Lo, who had a hit earlier this year with a remix of her song Habits (Stay High), was due to open for Perry at her Vector Arena shows in Auckland on Friday and Saturday night.
Lo said doctors had discovered cysts on her vocal chords that need "urgent" surgery. "It breaks my heart that I have to cancel all shows for the next two months," she said.
Promoters told the Herald Lo would still be opening for Perry. She has already performed shows with the I Kissed a Girl singer in Australia and is in New Zealand ahead of this weekend's performances.
