American classic rock band The Eagles - of the biggest selling groups of all time - is to play in Auckland next year.
The show on Saturday March 14 at Mt Smart Stadium will come after a seven-date Australian tour and will be the band's first appearance in New Zealand for 20 years.
In today's exclusive interview with TimeOut, group figurehead Don Henley says his veteran band is in good nick, having been out on the road on The History of the Eagles tour since mid last year.
"We take good care of ourselves. We are all at an age where we don't care anything about partying any more. Our primary concern is to put on the best show we can possibly do for our fans."
The live line-up of the band will include Henley, Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B Schmit who will be joined for the Australian and New Zealand dates by early band member Bernie Leadon.
