Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have confirmed a second New Zealand show - but they're staying put in Auckland to play a two-night stand at Mt Smart Stadium rather than venture further afield.
There had been a hopeful petition from Christchurch fans that "The Boss" might play there in what might be the final show on his two year Wrecking Ball world tour.
But Springsteen's Australian-based promoter ruled that out.
Frontier Touring Boss Michael Gudinski said he acknowledged "the passion of Christchurch fans".
"Regrettably however on this particular tour a Christchurch show isn't logistically possible within the time frame available," he said.
