Splore is upping the ante for next year's festival, adding even more big names and events to an already bulging and eclectic line-up that boasts 300 acts.
Today sees neo-soul godfather Roy Ayers and Canadian turntablist Kid Koala added to the three-day festival's line-up, held over the weekend of February 20-22 at Tapapakanga Park, south of Auckland.
Germany's Acid Pauli and NU, UK act Earl Gateshead and Brazil's Alta Fidelidade are also set to perform, alongside local acts Ahoribuzz, Antix, Rio Hunuki-Hemopo, the Nukes, Randomplay, Chica Lorica, Adam O, the Funk Ferret and the Fuzzbox.
Previously announced acts include Mr Scruff, Deltron 3030, Rodney P, Lunice and the Phoenix Foundation.
Other installations announced today include the Listening Lounge, an event hosted by Russell Brown featuring poetry, guest talks and panel discussions, and Fraser Hooper, who will perform a boxing show then host an all-ages clown workshop.
