Robert Forster, one half of the frontline of celebrated Australian indie band The Go-Betweens is to play his first solo shows in New Zealand next month.
Forster, who has just released a memoir Grant & I about his band partnership with the late Grant McLennan, will appear at Wellington's San Fran on Thursday November 10 and Auckland's Tuning Fork on Friday November 11. Tickets go on sale on Thursday October 13.

Forster's trans-Tasman follows the release of Forster's sixth solo album Songs to Play. His previous album, 2008's The Evangelist, was started as a Go-Betweens reunion album before McLennan's death of a heart attack at age 48 in 2006.
