American pop-rockers OneRepublic will hit our shores this November to play two shows. They play Vector Arena in Auckland on November 16, and TSB Arena in Wellington on November 17, which is quite a step up from the last time they visited, when they played at The Powerstation in Auckland in 2008.
Their soaring 2007 debut single Apologize, remixed by Timbaland, catapulted the five-piece to international stardom - it went to number one in 16 countries, including New Zealand, where it sat in the top spot for seven weeks, and sold more than 10 million copies.
But since then, their lead singer, songwriter, and producer Ryan Tedder has continued to pump out hits, including their latest single from third album Native, Counting Stars. Tickets go on pre-sale from Monday, September 30 through livenation.co.nz.
And ever-popular Aussie Guy Sebastian has announced his first headlining tour of New Zealand for this summer. He'll be performing six concerts over the New Year period, starting at Mangawhai Tavern on December 30, stopping at Brewers Field in Mt Maunganui for New Years Eve, then taking in Waihi Beach Hotel, Butlers Reef Hotel in Oakura, and Riwaka Hotel, before finishing at The Bedford in Christchurch on January 5. The first winner of Australian Idol released his sixth studio album Armageddon in 2012, which included multi-platinum single Battle Scars. Tickets go on sale Thursday October 3 through Ticketmaster.
Finally, Cirque du Soleil - Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour has added one last performance to its Auckland leg at 4pm on Friday, November 1.
