It seems Mick Fleetwood just can't get enough of New Zealand, or the touring life, because less than four months after finishing a 15-month world tour with Fleetwood Mac, the powerhouse drummer is returning to Auckland and Wellington with the Mick Fleetwood Blues Band.
They will perform at the ASB Theatre on Thursday, March 31, and the Wellington Opera House on Friday, April 1.
Though Mick continues to lead from the drum stool, fronting the group is Rick Vito, veteran blues man and former Fleetwood Mac vocalist and lead guitarist.
He'll be joined by Lenny Castellanos on bass and Mark Johnstone on keyboard, and the setlist will be a celebration of Mick's blues heritage, combining their own material as well as paying tribute to the original Fleetwood Mac - the all-male blues band that started it all in 1967 - with songs by early FM frontman Peter Green, like Black Magic Woman, Albatross, and Rattlesnake Shake.
So if you didn't feel like you got enough of their "really old stuff" during the Mt Smart concert in November, now's your chance.
