American rock trio, Lifehouse.

Thanks to post-grunge hooks and the gravelly vocals of frontman Jason Wade, Lifehouse had a moment all of their own when their 2001 single Hanging By A Moment became a worldwide smash.

The Los Angeles trio are about to have another moment - they're coming back to New Zealand with a show scheduled for October.

Lifehouse will play the Great Hall in the Auckland Town Hall on October 19 on the back of their recent album, Out of the Wasteland.

Tickets go on sale at 9am today through Ticketmaster.

Meanwhile, electro-funk duo Mayer Hawthorne and Jake One are bringing their Tuxedo project to New Zealand for the first time.

Described as "a supersonic spectacular show", the pair will perform together in Auckland at The Studio on September 18.

Finally, Fleetwood Mac ticketholders should be excited by news that Angus and Julia Stone will be opening at all of the rock veterans' upcoming New Zealand shows.

That means you'll want to find your seat early when they perform at Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium on Novmeber 18, and Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium on November 21 and 22.

The acclaimed Australian brother-sister duo released their self-titled third album last year to rave reviews.
